Instead of using photonics crystal structures as the cavity for quoit-photon interactions, are there any other silicon photonic devices that could act as a high Q cavity?
Could the background of the PhC be an electro-optic dye or polymer of some kind instead of oxide?
What is the overall insertion loss of PhC device? i.e. from strip waveguide to strip waveguide (with PhC) in middle?

Could quantum dot spin qubit give you larger spin-photon coupling strength?
Coupling loss ~1 dB between different functional elements of the chip sounds not so good for quantum photonics. Are there alternative approaches for l with one can achieve ultra-low-loss coupling ?
